Vince Gill — that singing, songwriting, guitar-picking, Grammy–grabbing, golf-swinging, record-making Country Music Hall of Famer — apparently needed something to do to fill some time on Monday evenings.
In 2009, he could often be seen filling in with classic country and western swing combo The Time Jumpers during the Jumpers' weekly Monday night gigs at the Station Inn. For 2010, Gill has been upgraded from "part-time Jumper" to a full-fledged band member.
On Mondays when he's not touring, he can be seen strumming and smiling at the Station Inn, for a cover charge of $10.
Gill's new Love Songs collection is also out now, in time for Valentine's Day. Love songs... Valentine's... capiche?

Several golf legends and high-profile celebrities have committed early to play in the 2010 Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am.

In addition to the professionals, the list of early celebrity commitments include funny man George Lopez, country songwriter/singer Vince Gill, former NFL quarterbacks Vinny Testaverde and Joe Theismann. Tampa Bay's own Derrick Brooks and Rondé Barber will also join up to kick-off a new decade at the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am.

Each of Vince Gill's 11 original albums have charted in the Billboard top 10 in country. But this is his first album of exclusively love songs, drawn from his albums of 1996-2006.
It includes his hits "If I Didn't Have You in My World" from his 1991 double-platinum album, "Pocket Full Of Gold," and "Nothing Like a Woman," from the four-time platinum 1992 album, "I Still Believe in You."
The Norman-born country music superstar sways the heart with storytelling in "The Only Love." Its weepy sweet guitars and near-whisper vocals aurally entrance listeners.

In baseball, there’s a person who’s known as a “utility player“: a rare athlete who can fit many different roles in a pinch. A player who has the speed to play in the outfield, the agility and instincts to play the infield, the bat strength to knock one out of the park on occasion, and the drive and enthusiasm to show up to play every day. If one were to look for a viable counterpart to this type of multi-tasker in the world of music, one name would surely be at the top of that short list: Vince Gill.

FORT PIERCE — Country music superstar Vince Gill delighted fans and won new ones with a polished performance at The Sunrise Theatre in Fort Pierce on Tuesday night.
In his Sunrise debut, he demonstrated the range of his talents with a lengthy and intermission-free program of upbeat songs, familiar ballads and foot-stomping bluegrass.
He rendered the upbeat opening number “One More Last Chance,” the slower-tempo “Take Your Memory” and the ballad “Tryin’ To Get Over You” with smooth transitions and effortless ease. He didn’t attempt what he called “full-fledged country” until his fifth number, the cheating song “Pocket Full of Gold.” His first foray into bluegrass came with “High Lonesome Sound,” followed by “Old Time Fiddle,” a song inspired by his childhood experiences listening to a fiddler at potluck dinners.

Although it has not yet been announced officially, sources confirm to CMT.com that Vince Gill will produce LeAnn Rimes' next album. The project will be a collection of country love songs that were initially hits for male artists. Recording will begin in February, and no release date has been set. Rimes' most recent album, Family, was produced by Dann Huff. Gill has produced or co-produced albums for Amy Grant, Sonya Isaacs and the Notorious Cherry Bombs. Vince Gill -- Love Songs, a 14-track compilation, was released Tuesday (Jan. 26) by MCA Records. The collection includes hit singles and album cuts from Gill's CDs dating back to his 1991 album, Pocket Full of Gold. more!
