The Folds of Honor Foundation announced Tuesday that Vince Gill will be honored and the band Rascal Flatts will perform a concert at a ceremony following the Patriot Cup celebrity pro-am golf tournament.
Beginning at 5 p.m. on May 28, a Patriot Cup Gala will feature a dinner and awards presentation followed by a benefit concert hosted by Rascal Flatts. A limited number of tickets for the gala are available to the public for $300 each and can be purchased starting April 12 through “The Joint” ticket office or at www.thepatriotcup.com.
“The gala continues to grow as a centerpiece for our community that reaches far beyond the Patriot Cup golf tournament,” said Major Dan Rooney, former F-16 fighter pilot and founder of the Folds of Honor Foundation. “It really brings focus to the needs of families of our great soldiers. I promise it will be one of the most moving events anyone will ever attend. And, with Rascal Flatts on stage, it will be a great cap to an incredible Memorial Day weekend.”

Keith Urban meticulously planned a lineup of some of country music’s most adored duos and groups for Tuesday night’s third annual We’re All for the Hall concert to benefit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.
“The third time is the charm,” Urban told the sold-out crowd. “I can’t wait for you guys to see who is coming out tonight.”
But the evening’s chief surprise was for Urban: Country Music Hall of Famer Vince Gill took the stage to invite the “You Gonna Fly” singer to be the next member of the Grand Ole Opry. When Urban is inducted on April 21, he’ll become the first member not born in North America.
Vince Gill is not only one of country music’s most accomplished artists, he’s also one of the most beloved. His pursuit of musical excellence in all genres has delighted fans and inspired countless musicians for over 40 years. From his days in a small bluegrass band to front man of the 70′s super group Pure Prairie League, Vince Gill paid his dues long before he ever reached the streets of Nashville. In this episode of Backstory, friends and family share stories and talk about Vince’s long career in country music, and what makes this Hall of Famer a legend in his own time. Tune in April 21st at 10 PM ET!
