VINCE GILL, ‘BREAD AND WATER’ — STORY BEHIND THE LYRICS
Vince Gill’s latest album, ‘Guitar Slinger,’ is an emotional rollercoaster ride, mixing fun uptempos with tearjerking ballads, along with a few songs that tap into his darker side. All of the project’s tracks, however, have one main thing in common: they’re inspired by various people who have touched the country superstar’s life in one way or another.
‘Bread and Water’ is a poignant track about a seemingly homeless man who wanders into a mission looking for food but finding a whole lot more. The Country Music Hall of Famer sat down with The Boot to tell us how his brother Bob, who passed away in 1993, inspired the song.

ALL FOR THE HALL BENEFIT TO TAKE PLACE ON APRIL 10TH
CAPITOL NASHVILLE artist KEITH URBAN’s “WE’RE ALL FOR THE HALL” benefit concert for THE COUNTRY MUSIC HALL OF FAME AND MUSEUM will return to NASHVILLE’s BRIDGESTONE ARENA on APRIL 10th. The show was originally scheduled for JANUARY 18th but had to be moved due to URBAN’s throat surgery.

VINCE GILL TO HEADLINE 14TH ANNUAL JAMMIN’ TO BEAT THE BLUES CONCERT
Mental Health Association of Middle Tennessee’s annual benefit will raise funds for mental health education and programming
Nashville, Tenn. – Grammy-award winning country superstar Vince Gill will headline the 14th annual Jammin’ to Beat the Blues concert to benefit Mental Health America of Middle Tennessee (formerly known as the Mental Health Association of Middle Tennessee). Vince Gill will take the stage on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the historic Ryman Auditorium. This is Gill’s fourth consecutive year headlining this show, which virtually sells-out each year.
Vince Gill broke out in the country music scene in 1990 and has since won 20 Grammy Awards and 18 Country Music Association honors. He has sold more than 26 million albums. Vince is a member of the Grand Ole Opry and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
