MUSIC CITY WALK OF FAME INDUCTEES DECORATE AND AUTOGRAPH DONATED BOOTS FROM DURANGO FOR A CHARITY AUCTION
The Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau is partnering with
Durango for a charity auction to benefit Music City Inc. Foundation. Music legends Little Richard, Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, Kid Rock, Keith Urban, Vince Gill and more have autographed or customized a pair of Durango boots.
The Durango boots will go live for bids on eBay beginning on April 19th at 7 p.m. PST and run through April 29th. Bids for the boots can be made by going to http://is.gd/visitmusiccity.
The auction, facilitated by the agency Auction Cause, is expected to generate awareness and revenue for this worthy cause. The auction includes boots autographed by Kix Brooks, Steven Curtis Chapman, Rodney Crowell, Mike Curb, Peter Frampton, Vince Gill, Emmylou Harris, John Hiatt, Dr. Bobby Jones, Wynonna Judd, Barbara Mandrell, Manuel, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Josh Turner, Randy Travis, Little Richard, Kid Rock, Marty Stuart, Mel Tillis, Keith Urban, Steve Wariner and Kirk Whalum.
“This auction showcases these talented and diverse artists who have impacted our city, along with greatly benefiting the Foundation” said Butch Spyridon, President of Nashville Convention & Visitors Bureau. Amber Vanwy, Marketing Manager of Durango agrees, “To have the proceeds from the auction going to an organization that pays tribute to these legends, along with benefiting Music City, is an added bonus.”
Along with the boots, an autographed Gibson Epiphone Junior Guitar by legendary rocker
Peter Frampton and a trip to Nashville for two will be up for bids. The trip includes roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations for three nights, airport transfers, passes to various attractions, merchandise and much more.
“The trip to Music City is an amazing auction experience” said Eric Gazin, President of Auction Cause. “We expect the bidding to be fierce for this trip that has a lot of extras not often seen in a charity auction.”
All proceeds will benefit Music City Inc. Foundation to sustain and grow the Music City Walk of Fame.
