Vince Gill showed up to his intimate 2013 Fan Club Party at the Country Music Hall of Fame with nothing but a cell phone. When asked if he was going to play some songs, Vince said, “I didn’t plan on playing today, I just thought we’d shoot the breeze,” and that’s exactly what he did. Vince spent the next four hours fielding questions about everything from his golf game, music equipment, favorite comedy bits, and his new music.

During the party, Vince played 6 tracks from his upcoming album ‘Bakersfield,’ an album paying tribute to the “Bakersfield Sound.” This musical duet with famed steel guitarist Paul Franklin features songs from two of Bakersfield’s sons; Buck Owens and Merle Haggard.

While waiting to enter the Ford Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame, Fan Club Membesr Crissie & Anna Layton had had the idea to collect money for the Oklahoma Habitat For Humanity, and doing so raised $850.05!

The night concluded with Vince taking his picture with every Fan Club Member in attendance.
