The song you wrote for your brother “Go Rest High on That Mountain” is one of my favorite songs. My husbands son died two years ago and they played that song at his funeral.
I just love your music period!!!

I thought the “sheer ambition”remark was not the best choice of words to describe These Days as being 1 of the best (so far)of the century .To me it is one of the best in any genre but as far as country music goes I’ve never heard anything like it by anyone else and I think it was a travesity that it didn’t win the Grammy (for Best Album ) and the CMA . I just shook my head when it didn’t win the CMA for best album. Sheer talent describes it to me . Vince is the best as far as I am concerned . Long time Vince Gill fan . Anna Leighton Arizona

Congratulations Vince! I totally agree with this recognition by People Magazine. However, I also believe you should have won “Album of the Year” by both Grammy and CMA. Vince, this album is pure genius, and I love it more each time I listen to it. “A River Like You”, is so beautiful and touching. Thank you for the captivating beauty of your voice, as well as the untouchable talent in your songwriting. Adore you Vince!

Anna it’s like you were speaking thru me. To not win the CMA travesty, but George Straight did joke. Don’t get me wrong Straight a good singer but that is it in all good conscience he should have given it to Vince. Vincent Grant Gill is the most underated country (real country) artist in history. Thank God for the Grammys who really know talent. The alblum was up for alblum of the year, best of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Country back handed Vince. Rock of My Love my favorite because of my wife. So proud to have met the man a couple and thank him personally. THE BEST ever. What a talent. George J Hatfield, Pa
