Fans once again hit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum to party with the one and only Vince Gill! The man and his guitar greeted fans for an intimate acoustic show in the Hall of Fame’s Ford Theatre. Vince got a chance to tell stories and answer questions for fans from across North America. Famed country musician Vince Gill has officially joined the line-up of performers for the 8th annual Stars For Second Harvest benefit on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN. Gill is no stranger to the Nashville entertainment community, he has sold more than 26 million albums, earned 20 Grammy and 18 CMA Awards, and has taken home CMA Male Vocalist of the Year five times. Gill is regarded as one of Country Music’s best-known humanitarians participating in hundreds of charitable events throughout his career. According to Gill, “Second Harvest Food Bank provides such blessings to so many people. I am honored to be a part of this event and grateful for the opportunity to be involved.”
Presented by The Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and Hosted by acclaimed hit songwriter Craig Wiseman, this concert features an unplugged acoustic style performance by some of country music’s brightest songwriters and a special performance by one of country biggest stars. Sponsored by O’Charley’s, this not-to-be missed evening helps to raise awareness of hunger issues in Tennessee. In the last seven years, this event has raised $446,032 to feed the hungry in Middle Tennessee. Because each dollar provides four meals, the funds raised from the concert provided Second Harvest with the funds to supply 1,784,128 meals.

VINCE ADDED TO MERLEFEST LINEUP
Vince Gill, one of the most popular and honored performers in country music today, has been added to the MerleFest 25 lineup.
Gill will perform on Thursday, April 26, delivering the closing performance of the evening. MerleFest 25 is slated for April 26 to 29 and will once again take place on the campus of Wilkes Community College in Wilkesboro.
MerleFest is an annual homecoming of musicians and music fans, gathering to celebrate the memory of musician Eddy Merle Watson, beloved son of American music icon Doc Watson . Such blockbuster hits as “Go Rest High on That Mountain,” “Whenever You Come Around” and “I Still Believe In You” have helped Vince Gill sell more than 26 million albums over the course of his highly successful career. He has earned 18 CMA awards, including Entertainer of the Year in 1993 and 1994.
