VVN Music: ACM Award Nominations Announced; Vince Gill is Only Veteran to Get a Nod in a Major CategoryThe Academy of Country Music has announced the nominees for their 48th annual awards on Wednesday morning with a huge nod to the latest in country artists. When all was done, Eric Church led with seven nominations followed by Hunter Hayes with six, Miranda Lambert with five and Luke Bryan, Kacey Musgraves and Little Big Town each receiving four.

The Academy of Country Music is announcing that country music superstar Dierks Bentley will host the 6^thAnnual ACM HONORS, an evening dedicated to recognizing the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 47^th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards.  The event will take place on Monday, September 24, 2012 at 7:00pm at the historic Ryman Auditorium  in Nashville. Tickets priced at $37 will go on sale to the public at 8:00am PST on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the Ryman box office, Ryman.com, Ticketmaster outlets, Ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000.  The evening is presented by City National Bank.
