GAC’S TOP 20 COUNTDOWN FROM CITY OF HOPE’S CELEBRITY SOFTBALL GAME
Batter up! This week the Top 20 Country Countdown will take you out on the field to the 21st Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Game. The game was held during the 40th Annual CMA Music Fest in downtown Nashville. At the plate you can catch Vince Gill, Dierks Bentley, Jake Owen, Joe Nichols, American Idol winner Scotty McCreery and runner-up Lauren Alaina, and many others as they go head to head to help raise money and awareness to “Strike Out Cancer!” Join us as we take the field and see who hits a homerun to comes in at the top spot on this week’s Top 20 Country Countdown!

Mark your calendars! The 21st annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge has been set for June 11 at Nashville’s Greer Stadium. The tradition is one of many events held during the CMA Music Festival, which will take place June 9-12.
In what has become a longstanding rivalry, the Grand Ole Opry will go head-to-head with After MidNite With Blair Garner in the friendly competition that supports the City of Hope. Stars including Carrie Underwood, Vince Gill and Josh Turner have flexed their athletic prowess in the past to support research, education and treatment for cancer and chronic illness patients.

Winners of the first-ever “Connected to Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge” contest get in the game with celebrity ball players
Vince Gill, Dierks Bentley and David Nail will join a star-studded roster of country music’s hottest performers, sports personalities and more to help strike out cancer and other life-threatening diseases at City of Hope’s 21st annual Celebrity Softball Challenge, on Saturday, June 11, at 9 a.m. at Greer Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. For the first time in the game’s history, two City of Hope supporters will hang out in the dugout, and get into the game, with Nashville’s stars through the “Connected to Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge” contest.
