PETER COOPER – Tennessean

Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, Miranda Lambert, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, James Otto and Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus are among the Nashville musicians who have donated items to Estrella Celebrity Consignment.

With a likely opening date of spring 2011 in Nashville, Estrella is intended as a celebrity boutique where the public may purchase clothing previously worn by notable musicians, entertainers and sports figures, with all proceeds going to nonprofit animal rescue organization Noah’s Ark Society.

Lori Elam, owner of My Sister’s Closet consignment store in Green Hills, will operate Estrella. She continues to seek clothing, shoes, jewelry, handbags, furniture and novelty items from Nashville celebrities in the months before Estrella’s opening.

“The public has an appetite to purchase clothing that has been worn by a favorite celebrity while giving consumers the opportunity to support animal rescue efforts locally,” Elam said in a statement.

Nashville notables with items to donate may do so by calling 615–279-0802.
